Remember…

(I know that recently, a lot of the content on this blog hasn’t been directly attached to the news about Boko Haram, the Chibok girls, and Nigeria. But, I felt that I should share this. I promise that more directly-related posts will come soon!)

“For I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 1:6, Berean Study Bible)

All too often, I feel as if the weight of the world is on my shoulders. As if it all depends on me being perfect. But truly, this is the fact of the matter: It’s all on Jesus.

This truth, my friend, is for you: No matter how you feel, Calvary covered it all. Jesus took on the weight of the world—all of humanity’s sin, and its effects—and died the death and separation from God that we deserve, so that we would never have to.

You can rest in this Truth.

Friend, if you feel plagued and heavy with life, come to Jesus. It’s not all on you. Run to Christ with all you’re trying to hold. Cast your many cares upon Him! He died so that you might come to Him… and it is only through Him that you have salvation, as well as real, true rest.

Christ started His good work within you. He will finish it!

Love, Your Friend,

Annalee
