Hi Friends,
As of late, Russian President Vladimir Putin has reported that over 700 people have been kidnapped by ISIS, and that these 700 people are in danger of being killed. ISIS wants to murder these people at the rate of 10 a day if their negotiation demands are not met.
This is so much more than political. Some of these people are reportedly from the United States and Europe; more than this, they are all human.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:9, “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.” In these last days, for many Christians in Syria and other places in the Middle East, this verse is true. I’m sure that many of those in ISIS’ captivity are Christians, people who love Jesus too much to “convert” to islam. Jesus said it would happen… and this is all the more, a reason to pray for those going through this.
My last thought: Please, more than anything, pray for these people with me. Please pray for their safety, but because it is even more pressing, pray for their salvation.
Pray, pray, pray. Let’s not only petition those in power here on this earth; let’s petition our Loving, Sovereign Father.
