Ahmed Salkida is a journalist with connections straight to Boko Haram and ISWAP, the other faction of ISIS in Nigeria.
Today, I read this from Ahmed Salkida in The Daily Post, that gives great insight into the Chibok girls and Leah Sharibu’s situation:
“’As appalling as this may sound, once a slave girl missed her menstrual circle, there may not be any negotiations for her release, and when the slave gives birth, she cannot be separated with her under 7 year-old-child, the alternatives are narrowed to only a military rescue operation.
‘The fate of Leah and Alice is similar to those of the few surviving Chibokgirls in captivity today. Though the Chibok girls are not considered as slaves, but wives, however, BH ability to keep their most prized captives out of the radar confirms they have territorial control.’”
The same article also claims that Leah Sharibu is not being freed only because she is Christian (though that is the main reason why); she is also being held captive because her father is a police officer. Reading this has given me a lot of understanding into what may be keeping the Chibok girls, and Leah Sharibu, from reaching the freedom that they so greatly deserve. It has shown me the fact that many of the Chibok girls may have children, and not only don’t want to leave their kids, but lawfully can’t in the eyes of Boko Haram.
This is just an estimation, but probably tens to hundreds of children have been born in Boko Haram captivity. These children need our prayer, that Christ would save them and their parents from the false ideology of Boko Haram, which is islam.
Let’s focus prayer on these precious children, and on their mothers (and even their fathers). Will you pray with me?

- The members of Boko Haram, that they would be freed from satan’s ideology.
- The Chibok girls and Leah Sharibu, that they would remain safe and would be freed.
