Royal Family Kids camp has been around since 1985, and was founded by Wayne and Diane Tesch. The camp helps over 9,000 children a year. What is Royal Family Kids’ Camp, you may ask? It is a national program focused on bettering the lives of children who are in foster and kinship care. For one week in the summer, foster children around the country are treated like royalty—and are introduced to Jesus and His Love for them. Hundreds of volunteers go through training to know how to help these children, as most of them may have had tumultuous, dark upbringings. The kids are able to enjoy everything from swimming, to daily bible skits, to even an event that celebrates the birthdays of each child attending! These children are truly treated like royalty, because they are: dearly precious to Jesus, and to those who help them.

“Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for caring for the orphan. For the child left behind, the little one who has fallen between the cracks of our society. Thank You for putting it on Wayne and Diane Tesch’s hearts to take these children in and love them, even if only for a week.
Jesus, we pray over the children attending RFK—those who already have, and those who will be in it come summer 2019. We pray in Your Name, Jesus, that even now You would get these children ready to meet and know You. We also pray over every volunteer, that You would prepare their hearts for some very emotional parts of RFK, as well as giving them Your wisdom and insight in how to best take care of and love the children under their care while at RFK.
We praise You for working and loving others through Your People, dear Jesus!
