My heart is burdened.
As I look at each of the Chibok girls found in this banner photo, I am reminded of the trauma that each young girl has gone through. Every dream tarnished, and every nightmare made alive.
It is no secret, nor is it a surprise, that these young girls have undergone things most people in this world will never experience. Knowing a friend with PTSD, the amount of PTSD these young women hold within themselves is too large to ever imagine.
But there is good news. Jesus Christ is on the throne, and He is the God of All Comfort. He is a God who is not only able to help comfort and heal people of their wounds, but is a God who yearns to do so, if only one would let Him.
So, today, I want to pray for the Chibok girls, Leah Sharibu—and for all people who are currently dealing with the demons of their PTSD. May they be freed physically, but also gain more and more healing of their minds, hearts, and souls. Most of all, may the worldwide Church come alongside of them, letting them know that they are perfectly Loved by Christ—and that He alone can (and wants to) save them.
***This is dedicated to all those with PTSD who have just gotten home from war. May they recieve the help and healing they need.***
Do you know Jesus?
Christ came to this earth 2,000 years ago, so that the comfort of eternal life would be ours for all who believe on Him. Learn more about Jesus, and what He has to do with your after life, here.
Please pray for…
- The Chibok girls. Pray that each and every one of those 112 still held captive would be freed soon.
- The Chibok girls’, Leah Sharibu’s, and all captive’s mental, emotional, and spiritual states. May they be given help to overcome wounds and find healing in Jesus’ Name.
- Those people in general fighting PTSD, that they would be comforted and strengthened by Christ’s Love.
Thank you for your prayers.
