Prayer for Those with PTSD

My heart is burdened.

As I look at each of the Chibok girls found in this banner photo, I am reminded of the trauma that each young girl has gone through. Every dream tarnished, and every nightmare made alive.

It is no secret, nor is it a surprise, that these young girls have undergone things most people in this world will never experience. Knowing a friend with PTSD, the amount of PTSD these young women hold within themselves is too large to ever imagine.

But there is good news. Jesus Christ is on the throne, and He is the God of All Comfort. He is a God who is not only able to help comfort and heal people of their wounds, but is a God who yearns to do so, if only one would let Him.

yearns

So, today, I want to pray for the Chibok girls, Leah Sharibu—and for all people who are currently dealing with the demons of their PTSD. May they be freed physically, but also gain more and more healing of their minds, hearts, and souls. Most of all, may the worldwide Church come alongside of them, letting them know that they are perfectly Loved by Christ—and that He alone can (and wants to) save them.
