Keeping Our Eyes on Heaven

Think of the worst day of your life.
A day where something incredibly traumatic happened.
A day where your heart literally broke.

It’s true. This world is broken, and the deep aches and pains of our hearts and lives leave us groaning. But as you sigh, my friend, may I encourage you?

If you have put all your faith in Jesus Christ to save you, this is as close to hell as you will ever be. The pastor I was listening to yesterday brought up John chapter 14:

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
(John 14:1-4, NIV)

As our spirits groan in this life (2 Corinthians 5:4), we have a Hope that is more sure than any other hope one could have.

We will see Jesus face to face.
He will wipe every tear from our eyes.
He knows us better than even ourselves, and He is building each and every one of his people a place that is too magnificent for words.

One day, this earth will be no more… but until then, let’s spread this good news; may we know that even the deepest pain, on the worst day of our lives, is being used by Jesus for His Glory and our Good (Romans 8:28).

With Love,

Annalee Hoover, ISAIAH 62 PRAYER MINISTRY
