Wow. That’s all I can say.
With celebrity families paying off universities so that their children can be admitted, to Jussie Smollett lying about being brutally attacked by Trump supporters, there’s been a whole lot of lying and covering up the truth in this nation. (Smollett has pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer as expressed that they are looking forward to “the truth coming out.”)
While I am sure that none of this is too surprising, it brings one thing to a head: ALL things will, at some point, be brought to light– both good and bad.
This can bring about both fear and relief, depending on if you are hiding something or not. But, if you don’t believe me, listen to Luke 8:17:
“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”
At this point, may all of us realize this truth—and search our lives before Christ of anything we need to confess and repent of. For He is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 103:8).
Do you know Jesus?
