In 2018, there were 158 terrorist attacks alone. Now, Jihadists won’t stop; they are attacking places of Christian worship like never before.
On Sunday the 26th, 4 church members were killed when terrorists attacked a congregation in Burkina Faso. The Bishop of this church’s reply? “pray for peace and the conversion of the executioners.”
Staring at the dead bodies of those he shepherded, those who he led and served, he did not express hatred towards these abhorrent terrorists; rather, he pleaded for Christians to pray for peace, and for those who killed his beloved to know Jesus.
And so, that is what we are going to do.
I want to make it clear: what these terrorists have done is abominable, and they should face FULL justice.
But, there is power in prayer. Please join me, as we pray over those who are lamenting their loss, and over those who desperately need to repent and know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It is then, and only then, that true Peace will be had.
Do you know Jesus?
Jesus Christ is the “Prince of Peace.” To know Him is to know true Peace; and as said above, without Him, there is no Peace. Learn more about Jesus, and what He did to give us the way to peace with God, here.
Please pray for (you can find the prayer sheet here)…
- Those who have lost their loved ones because of this attack.
- The church in and around Burkina Faso. May they unite and comfort one another with Jesus’ comfort.
- The Chibok girls, and Leah Sharibu. That they would be found, safe and soon.
Thank you for your prayers!!!
