The country of Eritrea, a country of approximately 4.5 million people in Africa, is incredibly underreported. But, according to Open Doors, it is the 7th most persecuted country in the world.
Christians all over face imprisonment for their faith, sometimes being locked up in shipping containers without food, water, or proper sanitation. Reading of their pain puts my life into perspective and reminds me of how grateful I am to be able to freely go to church, fellowship, and worship Jesus.
Friends, if you can meet with other Christians, however that may look, see that time as precious; so many people are not able to share their lives in such a way with fellow brothers and sisters.
Will you please pray with me, for these brothers and sisters that seemingly no one wants to advocate for? Thank you.
Do you know Jesus?
Men and women in Eritrea are undergoing pain and persecution, just as Jesus said they would (2 Timothy 3:12); but it is not for no reason. Jesus is alive! Learn more about Jesus, what He did, and how He has changed countless lives, here.
Please pray for (find the prayer sheet here):
- The persecuted Christians of Eritrea.
- The Chibok girls, and Leah Sharibu.
Thank you for your prayers!
