“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…”
(Ephesians 3:20, NIV)
This is the Bible verse I came across today as I was reading Ephesians 3. Whenever I read it, I get SO excited to pray—knowing that if I pray according to Jesus’ Will, I will be heard and given what I ask for on His time table (James 4:1-3). While Jesus is NOT a genie in a bottle granting my every wish and whim, this verse It encourages me to dream, and to know that if those dreams are Jesus’ will, He delights in giving me those desires of my heart: “Let God grant what is in your heart and fulfill all your plans” (Psalm 20:4, CEB).
So, my friends and readers, I challenge you today: Be totally and completely honest with Jesus in prayer. What are the deepest longings and desires of your heart? Are you disappointed they haven’t come to fruition, tired of waiting, and feeling discouraged? I completely encourage you to bring your whole self to Christ, and to entrust all you care about to Him. After all, He can do EXCCEEDINGLY MORE than we could ever ask or think!
Do you know Jesus?
