Highlight on Nonprofit: CARE

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
(Proverbs 31:8-9, NIV)

The nonprofit CARE has gotten my attention recently. They have been doing a lot of work around the world, recently– including in Nigeria in 2017– and I believe fully in their work.

If you are led to give to CARE, your donation right now will be “multiplied 5x to have 5x the impact.” They were vetted by me and added to my “Where to Donate” resource found here.

Let’s not only pray for those who are being helped by CARE, but also for those who are in CARE. I can’t imagine all they have put in to help those in need, and how they may not have Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives, yet!

Let’s not forget those in poverty, but follow Christ in working to love and support those people whenever we can!

***This post is in no way funded, pushed or created by Care– I just found their work to be awesome and wanted to highlight them for the work they are doing to help those in poverty.***

Do you know Jesus?

“The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.”
(Matthew 26:11)

In this verse, Jesus was telling His disciples (especially Judas) that while taking care of the poor is important, it is not the ultimate goal. Anyone can be a good person and give to the poor, but it won’t get a person to heaven– only knowing Jesus can do that.
If you don’t know who Jesus is, or what He has done for you, you can learn more here.
