Praying for the Children in Nigeria

Jurist.org, with the Human Rights Watch, have reported that hundreds of young children, some even as young as 5 years old, are being detained for supposed links to Boko Haram. In reality, there is little to no proof of Boko Haram captivity to detain these children, yet they are being held in the dirtiest, worst of conditions. “About half of the children said they saw dead bodies of other detainees and many said they frequently suffered from thirst and hunger,” Jurist.org reports.

These kids are undergoing some of the most traumatic events possible. Who will stand up for them? Who will be their voice? Who will pray for and support them? We must rally around these precious creations of God, supporting them and speaking on their behalf… but how?

We need to pray, pray, pray. We need to spread the news and fight for the rights of these children in horrific conditions. We need to bring it to the world’s attention, so that these kids and their lives can be known. Will you partner with me in doing so?

If so, here are some things you can do:

Let’s get the word out—and most of all, pray for these circumstances to improve, and justice to be served.

“But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!”
(Amos 5:24, NIV)

Do you know Jesus?

Jesus came down to earth approximately 2,000 years ago, out of pure Love for you and I. Learn more about Jesus, His amazing love, and His Justice, here.

Please pray (find the prayer sheet here):

  • That innocent children would be freed, soon.
  • That guilty children working for Boko Haram would go through due process.
  • That the Nigerian military would not be quick to just throw children into prison.

Thank you for your prayers!!!
