A few months ago, reports came out that Leah Sharibu may have been dead after being in Boko Haram captivity for more than a year. I am happy to announce that new reports have come out that Leah is alive!!!
God is SO good, friends!!! He hears our every prayer and works and moves powerfully! It reminds me of Psalm 18:
“In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it. He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.”
(Psalm 18:6-10, NIV)
Friends, Jesus hears us– and is VERY mighty to save. The report of Leah’s life is only one instance that proves these things to be true!
But, Leah is not released, yet. Please pray with me, for Leah’s continued safety, and for her soon return!

- Leah’s continued safety. She is still in Boko Haram, and needs our prayers for her release.
- Her parents and family, that they would not lose hope, but trust in Jesus for Leah’s release.
- For the negotiations taking place, that God would have favor on the Nigerian government in these negotiations so that Leah and other people can be released.
