In case you are not aware, my cousin, the beautiful, bright, extremely intelligent Danyelle Adair passed away by taking her own life on August 13th, 2020. She was 36 years old.
She left no note or trace of why she did what she did. I am stuck feeling a mixture of denial, sadness, and anger, all going over and over again in a cycle and sometimes happening all at once. She was a believer in Jesus; therefore I am not grieving where she has gone, because she’s in heaven, but I am grieving her loss here on earth.
Tomorrow is Suicide Prevention Day, and September is Suicide Prevention Month. Danyelle’s death has made the importance of suicide awareness all the more important… it hits home.
I’m trying to remember the best about her. But our family is definitely shaken. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
