112: a Poem for Those Left in Captivity

Today, please pray with me for the 112 young women who are still held captive by Boko Haram. The public does not know their whereabouts; all we can do is pray for their safety, healing, and freedom. Please pray alongside me as I write this poem:

Dear Jesus,
112. 112 Precious
Valuable
Unique girls
still in hiding,
almost as if they have vanished.
It’s visceral,
knowing that they are still
bound, maybe not by ropes
but by brainwashing—
dear Jesus,
open their eyes, and
help them to see the Truth.
Rescue them, Lord Jesus!
You have done so much;
do so again!
They need You,
and we need You.
Pluck them from
the muck and mire.
In Jesus’ Name we pray

Amen.”

Do you know Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has the power to free these women; He is Sovereign over what happens, and is with them all the time. Learn more about Jesus here.
