Finally, some justice has been done in Nigeria. SARS, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, was full of people who were killing others without a judicial process. While these SARS members were released, they have now been brought back to the Benin High Court. One of them, by the name of Joseph Omotosho, has been put to death for his crime.
Honestly, Nigeria—or, at least, Northern Nigeria—is not known for justice. But it is important and encouraging that they are finding those who perpetrated crimes, and bringing them to justice. As the spokesman for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said, “justice is the first condition of humanity.”
One day, we will all face court for the things we have done, thought, or said—that being at God’s great court. What will He say of us? For those who have believed in Christ Jesus, He will say one thing: “Your debt is paid.” You see, when a Believer comes before God, God no longer sees the sin that we have done. No; instead He sees Jesus, who took on all of our sin debt and shame, so that we might become “the Righteousness of God.”
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
(2 Corinthians 5:21, NIV)
These people deserve to be brought to justice for their crimes. But may they come to Jesus, who will give them eternal life, despite the consequences this life will give them. After all, Jesus, and Jesus alone, can save us and make us new. 🔹

- More justice in Nigeria. May Nigerians come to Christ, and may true Justice be had for so many suffering people.
- Especially Northern Nigeria. Pray that the Fulani Herdsmen and Boko Haram would stop attacking innocent people.
