Great News!!!

I’ve got great news!!!

  • Students that have been abducted in Kaduna State, Nigeria, have been reported as “safe” by it’s governor, Nasir el-Rufai. The students are still in captivity, but are not being negotiated for. This new news is welcomed, after learning that many students have been abducted by Boko Haram and other terrorist organizations as of late.
  • The Pastor who was in danger of death from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) — a splinter group of terrorists akin to Boko Haram– was released on March 3rd, 2021! Church members of the EYN (Church of the Brethren in Nigeria) paid the ransom that was asked for, and the pastor was released without any major injuries. “I thank God, I thank God,” he commented, when asked to speak about being freed.

Without being long-winded, I just want to praise God for being a God who hears our prayers. Sometimes it may feel like nothing is happening and our prayers are hitting the ceiling; but Jesus does hear us, and works on our behalf and on the behalf of all of His People, always. May we spend this time celebrating and reveling in a God who sees and knows us so intimately!

“I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.”
(Psalm 116:1-2, NIV)

Love in Christ,
