People in Nigeria have been struggling for awhile now. The pain and anguish, the instability and violence, never seem to let up. I wish I could say that things are getting better, but they seem not to be…
Nigeria is being attacked by both Boko Haram and COVID-19. You might say that they are being attacked on both a physical and mental, spiritual level. How can we help a country that feels so helpless?
We can choose to pray, lifting up these wounded people to Jesus Christ. We can also give to legitimate, helpful non-profits that help issues in Nigeria (especially Northern Nigeria).
Please pray for these prayer points:
- For the end of the Boko Haram insurgency. This is one prayer that I have prayed many times, even with tears, without seeing it come about. We must continue to pray for this!
- For COVID-19 to stop rising in Nigeria. This article speaks about how Nigeria is basically the worst hit nation of all those affected by Boko Haram. Please pray that Jesus would strengthen and give health to these precious people.
- For, most of all, these people to come to know Christ. This is more important than anything else.
Everything seems out of control… but Jesus has it all in His Hands, as cliche as that sounds. Please pray for these two specific prayer requests with me in the days to come.
