It is heartbreaking to find out that after many years of trying to restore her marriage, Lysa TerKeurst has decided to divorce her husband, after he has “chosen patterns of behavior that dishonor God and the biblical covenant of marriage.”(1)
This woman does not need speculation on her marriage from outsiders. She doesn’t need Christians (and non-Christians) judging her relationship and going on about her decision to divorce. She needs love, prayer, and compassion.
Please pray with me over Lysa, her family, and her soon-to-be ex husband.
“Dear Lord God,
We come before You on behalf of Lysa, Art (her husband), and her family. Please heal the wounds this family bears. Bring newness out of this sorrow and flowers from this hard, rocky soil. Bring hope where there doesn’t seem to be any. Bless Lysa, and bring them all to You.
