#Justice for Belle (and the Girls Like Her)

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
(Proverbs 31:8-9)

Today, I was horrified to hear that soldiers in Quezon assaulted and raped a 15 year old girl whom they illegally detained.

…But what is even more horrific is that this practice is not rare. Women are treated like dolls, abused and raped at all ages.

My heart drops into my stomach as I think about this… but I know that Jesus will bring justice for what has happened to this young girl. In fact, justice is already being sought for her case.

But when I think of the other girls who have gone through similar cases with no justice, I think of how nothing is missed by Christ. He sees every evil thing done, and He weeps.

He sees every evil thing done, and He weeps.

Our God knows each of us closely, and Loves us in a way no one else can. Because He is our Great High Priest, let us come to Him now in prayer.

Dear Father God,
Thank You for making these girls. You see their unimaginable worth; they are more than usable bodies and minds. We ask now that You would bring Justice in this young woman’s case, and Justice in every situaton that has not been brought to light yet. We trust You to do what no one else can: bring these girls to know you, and heal them.
We give all of this to You.
In Jesus’ Name we pray,
Amen.”

Thank you for your prayers and support. May we always speak up for the disenfranchised and those put aside.

In Christ,
Annalee Hoover, ISAIAH 62 PRAYER MINISTRY
