I love that we have a day to remember those who have done so much for the USA. As I was praying over this post, Psalm 91:1 came to heart.
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Psalm 91:1 (NIV)
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
It made me think of how many veterans need to know Jesus. Who are dealing with PTSD, and mental and physical wounds. They need– whether it is physical, emotional, spiritual, or all three– rest. A Refuge. And this Refuge is only found in a relationship with Jesus.
As these warriors are on my heart today, we must think of the pain they go through, and their need for salvation in Jesus. May we pray for that on such a day as this.
