I am reading an article, and my heart bows low. Numbers of dead bodies and statistics fill its sentences. According to this article, Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) has said that Fulani Herdsmen and Boko Haram have killed 280 people in February and March terrorist attacks, including 130 deaths in Kaduna, 120 in Zamfara and 30 in Benue states—all within the middle belt of the country. Wow. That’s all I can say.
With celebrity families paying off universities so that their children can be admitted, to Jussie Smollett lying about being brutally attacked by Trump supporters, there’s been a whole lot of lying and covering up the truth in this nation. (Smollett has pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer as expressed that they are looking forward to “the truth coming out.”)
While I am sure that none of this is too surprising, it brings one thing to a head: ALL things will, at some point, be brought to light– both good and bad.
This can bring about both fear and relief, depending on if you are hiding something or not. But, if you don’t believe me, listen to Luke 8:17:
“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”
At this point, may all of us realize this truth—and search our lives before Christ of anything we need to confess and repent of. For He is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 103:8).

These women spend much of the prime of their lives fighting for the USA, but seem to be much less appreciated than their male counterparts. (I’m not trying to create an argument, it’s just what I see!)
If you know any women in the US Armed Forces, please make sure she knows she is so appreciated!
Let’s pray for these brave women in the US!
Love, in Christ,

“Be careful little ears, what you hear.
Be careful little ears, what you hear.
there’s a Father up above looking down in tender Love;
Be careful little ears, what you hear.”
It’s no surprise: crazy amounts of sound can fill our ears and mind. We are constantly bombarded with sounds from nature, technology, songs, and other human beings, among other things. Continue reading

Last night, at the State of the Union address, I truly praised Jesus that President Trump made such a hard stance against the new abortion laws that have been passed in states such as New York and Virginia.
The people who have created these laws are wicked; but truly, all of us have fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). May those behind these laws repent, turn to Jesus Christ as their Savior, and have their eyes opened to the evil they are propagating. It is the only way this torn-apart country can ever have even a semblance of unity again.
“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
(2 Chronicles 7:14, NIV)
