“‘Narratives” (and Lies)'”: A Poem

Hi friends,
I wanted to share a piece of poetry I have recently done. I read an article from The Nation called “Boko Haram war narratives,” which dives into how how many leaders in Nigeria, and those who see over the war against BH (Boko Haram), are claiming that the fight against BH is “technically” over. I have written about this “news” before. The many “narratives” told by so many, from people on social media, to those in the Nigerian government, are telling different stories. In the midst of this, I want to know the truth… here is my plea. I hope it resonates, and causes you to pray over such corruption. Continue reading

Psalm 42: 4 Things to Do when Your Heart is Downcast

How are you feeling today? Have you ever just had a time where your heart was full of fear, distress, or worry?

King David had this happen, too, and you’re not alone– 18.1% of people in the United States alone suffer from anxiety and depression (which is 40 million adults a year!). This is a real illness and disease, and people everywhere are trying to get rid of it.  Continue reading

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: PRAYER OVER ECUADOR

3935.jpg

While Ecuador has nothing to do with Nigeria, I have ties to those in Ecuador. There have been major protests over fuel prices in Quito, Ecuador that, unfortunately, have turned violent.

Please pray with me over those in Ecuador, that peace would be found soon and that no one else would be affected by it’s violence!

Thank you!

“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers…” (1 Peter 3:12a)

Tonight, let’s just thank our Lord Jesus for all that He is doing and will do. What a mighty God we serve!

If you are in the middle of hearing a “wait” or a “no” from the Lord, trust that He is still good, and still hears you.

With Love, in Christ,
