Prayers for President and Melania Trump!

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
(1 Timothy 2:1-4, NIV)

As President Trump, and his wife, Melania Trump, have caught COVID and are now in a hospital, please pray for their health– not necessarily because you like them personally, but because it is what God tells us to do.

Pray with me:

“Dear Lord Jesus,
We pray over President Trump and Melania Trump, today. Dear Jesus, make this COVID pass quickly from them, and keep them both strong and healthy as they lead the nation. May those who hate him come to You and pray out of obedience to You, no matter their opinion of him. Help him to lead this nation in a Godly way.
In Jesus’ Name we pray,
Amen.”

Look Up: Trusting in God’s Sovereignty

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling… bleh.
Anxious. Let down. Frustrated. Scared, even.

All of this is for personal reasons; but I look around me and see the same thing. Especially since much of the Western United States is up in flames, the Presidential Election is coming up, and COVID is still very prevalent in our society. What are we to do?

I’ve been reading a book called Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado, and in it, Lucado writes about how we can rejoice in the Lord’s Sovereignty, no matter what is happening in our lives. The same God who created all things is in charge of all things, and not only that—He LOVES us.

While we sit here, feeling deflated, we can look up, and say, “Father, You are Good, and in control.” He is in charge of who wins the 2020 elections, when the fires will stop, and every situation you happen to be in. And He turns all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). You can trust His Love because He died for you, that you might know the Father and live forever (John 3:16, John 17:3).

So next time you feel completely out of control, friend, stop fighting, and accept His Love. Accept His Sovereignty. And Accept His good, wise, unique, perfect plan for your life. Never forget: His thoughts towards you are for good, not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11).

In Christ,
Annalee Hoover, ISAIAH 62 PRAYER MINISTRY

Do you know Jesus?

Jesus is in control of all things, and you can trust His Love for you! Learn more about His Good News here.

This is jarring to hear. All I can do is pray that the Lord would bring about justice, righteousness, and truth in these situations! To hear of this– and from only one woman who actually seems to care for patients– is so heartbreaking and angering!!

Jesus, please end this COVID-19 soon. Please.

Fighting Two Enemies

Amidst this coronavirus (aka COVID-19), something President Trump likes to call “the invisible enemy,” there is unfortunately still a visible enemy in Nigeria, Cameroon, and surrounding nations. On Sunday night, around 8pm, seven people were killed in Cameroon by a suicide bomber, with “a village chief and two teenagers among the dead” (source). Continue reading
